Welcome to the Italy Guided Cycling Tour that brings together the passions for cycling, wines and culinary arts .

The secret to longevity is only a taste away. Pedal in the heart of Sardinia to discover the local diet and traditions, which contribute to its Blue Zone status and record number of centenarian inhabitants. This tour is available on private departures too.

As we cycle up an appetite, take cooking classes offered by renowned chefs of the island who bring the fresh Mediterranean flavors out of traditional delights. You will cook classic Sardinian dishes, such as Malloreddus, Culurgiones and Fregola. You will prepare dishes of locally grown greens, fresh fish and meat with delicate and exquisite flavors. Savor the intense tastes of local olive oil and let’s not hold back for a wine and cheese tasting either on this unique tour.

While cycling, you will pedal in fantastic scenery, experiencing the majestic sites such as the Montiferru mountain range and the undulating hilly region called Marmilla. You will visit the Punic-Roman ruins of THARROS and the mysterious archaeological complex site, SU NURAXI (IL NURAGHE) of Barumini. Let’s pull over and take a swim in the sea, which Sardinia is famous for to round out our tour.

Reviews

What an amazing experience!
From the trip booking to the last day of the tour, the communication with Mauro was amazing!
Excellent accommodations during the whole week. Great group of fun people! The cooking classes, wine and olive oil tasting were also amazing.
The bicycles were top notch and I have not had a single technical issue during the week.
And on top of everything, an extraordinary guide (Lieven) and a fabulous driver (Carlo) made this experience so much more enjoyable.
I totally recommend BTS and cannot wait for our next tour.

I contacted Mauro to arrange a self guided bike trip. I had an excellent e-bike and my husband loved the road bike provided for us. The planning was made easy by BTS staff whom made excellent suggestions and answered all my questions by email efficiently and quickly. His hotel choice was good to exceptional – especially our first hotel – Villa Mosca – in Alghero! Each day our
luggage was transferred and in our room at our next destination before we were there!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mauro and Bike Tour Sardinia to anyone. We’ve done several other tours with other companies and this was definitely the best one yet! We would like to return to Sardinia one day! Stunningly beautiful island, wonderful friendly people, and excellent food and wine!

Beautiful landscape, unique boutique hotels, great food and wonderful biking, basically describes our experience with Bike Tour Sardinia. We went from Alghero to Oristano, exploring the medieval towns and coast. Mauro arranged a relatively seamless and fabulous self-guided adventure, being consistently available, helpful and responsive. We had both e-bikes and standard, but for me, the e-bike added ease and the ability for further exploration and smiles. I highly recommend Bike Tour Sardinia as a way to explore this beautiful island.
