Day 1Benvenuti to Costa Smeralda!

Meet & greet in Santa Tersa di Gallura, bike fitting and orientation with our guides. depend on your arrival time you will be able to ride around the Capo Testa with views across the bright blue waters to the southern coast of Corsica. Santa Teresa di Gallura, a small coastal village, is your first line of the tour where a warm welcome and beautiful beach awaits.

Day 2 S. Teresa to La Maddalena. 40km / 25mi, rolling Hills.

Today you’ll ride along the coast with breathtaking scenery of Costa Smeralda heading towards Palau, where you have to take the ferryboat for a short transfer (20 min) to reach La Maddalena, one of the most beautiful minor islands of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s in a very strategic position as it allows easy access to all the tourist spots and to the extraordinary beaches of the entire Costa Smeralda.

Day 3Loop Bike Ride on La Maddalena Island. 35km / 22mi, rolling hills.

The Archipelago of La Maddalena National Park was constituted in 1996 for the protection of its fauna and flora. Leaving La Maddalena and passing through the breakwater of Passo della Moneta that joins the minor islands, you can reach the Island of Caprera. A rural road leads through the whole pine forest and takes you around and towards the centre of the island. From there, you can admire the whole coast of nearby Corsica,

Day 4 La Maddalena to Baja Sardinia. 40km / 25mi, downhill and flat terrain.

Leaving La Maddalena with the ferry and arrive to the small harbor of Palau, from where many commute between La Maddalena. In Palau, you will climb it’s hill to admire the vast Archipelago. Then you ll ride along one of the most spectacular coastline roads of Sardinia. Then you arrive to Cannigione where a stop for a coffee or a GELATO after a long, hot day. The last distance to your hotel will be tough, but when you arrive on the other side of the Bay for your lodging, you will understand why Sardinia and Costa Smeralda are the top destinations in Italy.

Day 5Loop to Porto Rotondo or Porto Cervo. 49km / 30mi rolling hills

Today you will ride first towards Arzachena and then San Pantaleo, a little village famous for the resident artists. Perched on a hill, here too you can admire the breathtaking landscape of the Costa Smeralda. A visit at Nuraghe La Prisgiona and other prehistoric sites while in Arzachena is highly recommended.
Finally you will arrive at today’s highlight: Porto Cervo, another pearl in the Mediterranean Sea settled in Sardinia. Do not miss an aperitivo in front of the sea in the square of the village.
