Alghero to Oristano along costal roads of the Spanish Towers
The west coast of Sardinia has always been a hot spot for trade, power and control over the entire Mediterranean region. One of the most remnant notable influences in Sardinian culture is that of Spanish imperialism. Since then, it has become a mecca for sunbathers and outdoor tourism as Sardinia’s untamed locations are becoming rediscovered. One of the best ways to rediscover Sardinia is through cycling along its Spanish fortified coast upon endless undulating roads.
This is your rout to pedal on for your cycling holiday. Following the undulating costal roads from one fortification to the next, you will be taken to Oristano and the Sinis Peninsula. You will have the opportunity to walk on the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, made by Mother Nature with white and pink pebbles. You’ll ride along wetlands and lagoons where nature is still unspoiled and you’ll meet on your way the beautiful pink flamingos, all enclosed in the beautiful Sinis Peninsula, which has become a Protected Marine Reserve many years ago. A cycling paradise rich in visible history, contrasting through the islands vibrant colorful nature.

- Byking on the coral coast
- Cycling on the Sinis peninsula, marine reserve area
